Position Opening: Wastewater Treatment Operator
The position performs operational duties relating to the control and processing of wastewater and bio-solids. Prior experience or education related to wastewater treatment is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will participate in a training program for up to twelve months on a variety of shifts to learn processes under different operating conditions.

District employees are subject to the following criteria:
- All employees must establish and maintain permanent residency within twenty (20) miles of the corporate limits of the District. Newly hired employees must meet this criterion within six months from their first day of employment. View the residency boundary map.
- All employees must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to be covered by the District's vehicle insurance policy. All maintenance employees must obtain a CDL license after completion of their probationary period.
- Positions in the Maintenance, Wastewater Operations, and Storeroom are subject to the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement with the Teamsters.
- Most positions are subject to a post-offer physical and drug screen. Some positions are also subject to a pre-placement screen based upon the physical requirements of the job. Employees required to have a CDL license are also subject to random substance screens in accordance with DOT guidelines.
