If you have a sanitary sewer emergency such as:
- Sewage backing up into your basement or lower-level
- Overflowing or slow draining plumbing fixtures such as toilets, floor drains, tubs, showers, or sinks
- Overflow of sewage from a manhole cover
- Smell or see sewage on the ground or in a ditch, creek, or other waterbody
Immediately call the numbers listed below. We have Staff on call to respond to emergencies. Emergency calls are dispatched 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Water Leaks
The water treatment and distribution systems are operated and maintained by the Illinois-American Water in the Champaign-Urbana area. UCSD does not respond to water leaks. Please contact Illinois-America Water at https://emergency.amwater.com/pre-login if you are experiencing a water leak.
Stormwater Drainage and Flooding
The storm sewer drainage system are operated and maintained by the local municipalities in the Champaign-Urbana area. UCSD does not respond to storm sewer and drainage issues. Please contact the municipality that you reside in regarding storm sewer or drainage issues at the numbers provided below:
