Dental insurance is available to all regular full time employees. Coverage is effective the first day of employment. The District pays 100% of the employee’s premium and 50% of dependent coverage. Premiums for dependent coverage are deducted from the first 2 paychecks each month. The current provider is Reliance Standard.
The plan year is January 1 – December 31. Open enrollment is each December, but late enrollment for eligible dependents results in coverage for evaluations, cleanings, and fluoride application during the first 12 months of coverage.
Members can easily access their identification (ID) cards on Humana.com or through the MyHumana mobile app. Members will first need to register on Humana.com using their Humana member ID or Social Security number.
